DUNMORE FARM
Rise to misty mornings, breathe in the stillness and bathe in the starlit nights.
Bec and Angus Macdougall lovingly restored the Dunmore Farm cottage built c1870 keeping its old world charm and offer a luxury country retreat. An inspiring place that encourages you to slow down and look around. The views are expansive, the air crisp and the bird song captivating. After walking the property then propping on a tired tree trunk for a bit I felt compelled to open my artbox and begin to draw.
There is a beautiful twisted willow that greeted us on arrival. It made sense to use Willow charcoal in the branding story. The word mark I developed along with the brand story aligns with the brand personality and tone of voice. It’s welcoming, relaxed and a little special. The colour palette was drawn from the surrounds including the moss growth on an old concrete water tank.
Bec shared stories of her favourite things about Dunmore Farm. I created a series of illustrations including quirky trees, aromatic citrus, cow friends, an old water tank and the cottage itself to flow through printed collateral and digital marketing. The illustrations are warm and nostalgic.
The Dunmore Farm branding assets weave gently through every offering. Dunmore shoppe goods are boxed, delivered and wrapped with love. Each material is considered and selected for it’s colour, tone and texture.
Stylist Lynda Gardener and photographer Lean Timms worked together to create a stunning portfolio of images and narratives to communicate the peaceful and alluring atmosphere of the luxury country retreat. The brand message both clear and creative.
Bob-Bob and Billy-Bob are welcoming characters. The are adorable and memorable. They are also branding and marketing assets and generate a clear empathy bias.
